White Caps, Green Collars is devoted to being a "green" business in both the service we provide and in how the business is run. According to Lawrence
Berkeley National Laboratory's Heat Island Group, every 1000 square feet of black roof coated white offsets 10 tons (20,000 lbs) of carbon dioxide per year, thanks to reflectivity (the albedo effect). Retrofitting buildings to be more energy-efficient cuts pollution, too. We will track CO2-savings, roof-by-roof, throughout 2010. It's something else customers can feel good about while enjoying cooler, more comfortable, energy-saving space.
